Xt_state Issue on Kernel 2.6.28

On a centos 5 machine with kernel 2.6.28 and iptables 1.3.2, the xt_state (aka ipt_state) module is missing. The xt_state.h file is in the kernel source files, but the xt_state.o file is missing. The xt_state module is needed for any iptables -m state commands.Anyone have the xt_state.ko for my kernel or know of a fix without changing the kernel?
