XsIM on Slackware 9.1 BDB?

Any one ever get XsIM working on Slackware 9.1?

Whenever I compile it I get this little quirk:
checking for setlocale... yes
checking for strchr... yes
checking for strstr... yes
checking for Berkerly DB header... Berkerly DB 3 CXX header found
checking for Berkerly DB library... configure: error: Failed to check DB 3 CXX library

Anybody can help me out here?

Well, okay. I changed from a very brief configure to :

./configure --prefix=/usr --with-x --x-libraries=/usr/X11R6/lib --x-includes=/usr/X11R6/include --with-bdb-includes=/usr/include/db4 --with-bdb-libraries=/usr/lib

and I got past the configure..

checking for Berkerly DB header... Berkerly DB >=4.1 CXX header found
checking for Berkerly DB library... Berkerly DB >=4.1 CXX library found

but not I have make problems which I probably shouldn't take up here.

g++ -shared -o simpleim.o simpleimc.o pyphraser.o -L/usr/X11R6/lib -L/usr/lib -l `g++ -print-libgcc-file-name`
/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-slackware-linux/3.2.3/../../../../i486-slackware-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -l/usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-slackware-linux/3.2.3/libgcc.a
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

# ls /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i486-slackware-linux/3.2.3/libgcc.a

So I'm confused. If someone could with THAT now.. :P
