Xserver pronlem
 
hello,
i have a system nd its hardware configration is
p3
866mhz
128ram
40gb hdd
i hav installed redhat linux 9 in my sytem.
but now its not working properly expecially with xsever.
it will work after the installation.
but as i restart my system a message will be displayed "I cannot start your xserver . there is some problem .....". i dont know what to do.
please giude me..
nd i am new to linux.
so i need your help.

try using Ctrl+Alt+BAckspace key combination to restart the X server..
Can you get in the text mode??

Look at X log file
 
Look at the X log file which is probably located at
/var/log/Xorg.0.log (at least if you use the xorg version of X)
Look for lines with (EE) which are X errors (the symbols are defined at the top of the file).
