xpdf or kpdf?

I have used both kpdf and xpdf to view PDF files. Based on what I have seen, kpdf seems to be the superior viewer, but I'd like to know what others think.

kpdf seems to display fonts better, and also seems to have a better mechanism for copy and paste.

What are the advantages to using xpdf?

I think the main advantage to XPDF is that you don't require the KDE or Gnome libraries to run it - therefore you can use it on the lightweight window managers without installing parts of KDE or Gnome.

I agree that KPDF is one of the better PDF viewers that I have come across - IMO better than Acrobat for Linux

I prefer KPDF as well. The only problem is that on some distros you cannot uninstall XPDF even if you don't want it because some apps make use of its libraries. I think at one time kpdf required that you had XPDF installed.
