Xp can not see Fat32 logical Partitionb, Bbut linux can see

Redhat linux Installed in 18GB SCSI Drive and, one 80GB drive is connected Primary IDE controller as Primary Master Drive, working very well under linux .
But in windows xp i can not see /dev/hda5 (under linux) D: drive.
i dont know why its showing as hidden partition -->(1b Hidden Win95 FAT32)
in windows xp in my computer i can only see first 15GB Primary partition , but in disk management drive is showning as basic disk and unpartition space for last partition, which can work and mount under linux.

here is fdisk -l output

[root@Omar-Pc root]# fdisk -l

Disk /dev/sda: 18.3 GB, 18351959040 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 2231 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/sda1 * 1 13 104391 83 Linux
/dev/sda2 14 2166 17293972+ 83 Linux
/dev/sda3 2167 2231 522112+ 82 Linux swap

Disk /dev/hda: 60.0 GB, 60022480896 bytes
255 heads, 63 sectors/track, 7297 cylinders
Units = cylinders of 16065 * 512 = 8225280 bytes

Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hda1 * 1 1912 15358108+ c Win95 FAT32 (LBA)
/dev/hda2 1913 7297 43255012+ f Win95 Ext'd (LBA)

you have to "unhide" the drive - if you have a copy of "partition magic" you can do it with that

Lightbulb Hidden Win FAT32 Partition

Hi Mobassir,

If you don't already have a solution to your problem here is what you can do.

You can also "unhide" in Linux itself! Yes, do the following:

fdisk /dev/hda

now type 't' (This will allow you to change the type).

It will ask you the partition number, so give it '5' as that is what seems to be showing 'Hidden Win95 FAT32'.

Next it will ask you HEX code for this partition to be named as. Type there 'b' (corresponding to 1b, if it were 1c you would type here 'c', etc.)

Now you can write the modified partition to the disk. Exit linux and restart your computer. XP will now be able to see "The Hidden Partition".

I've tried this and it works like a flash.
