Question XP and RH 7.2 and GRUB

I had XP and RH 7.2 installed and working fine with the dual boot controlled by GRUB. Then, for some idiot reason I cannot remember, I did fdisk /mbr, uninstalled RH, and then set about reinstalling it. Everything seemed to go fine, but it turns out that GRUB doesn't start (i.e. the machine goes right to XP).

GRUB is installed in the first sector of the boot partion and not in the MBR (because that is what I understand to be the right procedure with XP).

I think the problem might be that I overwrote the XP bootloader with the fdisk /mbr (from an old WIN 98 StartUp disk), but I have no idea how to restore the original XP bootloader.

Anybody got any ideas?

thanks

James
