Xournal & Cellwriter Sensitivity

Hey There,

So I've just about got my tablet up and running on Ubuntu (w00t) I just need help configuring a few things so it is fully usable. In both cellwriter and xournal I am having the same issue - when I start writing in either it does not start actually drawing the line until a few moments after the pen tip is down, the mouse cursor is moving on the screen (so I know the tablet is working) but it takes a moment to actually start "writing" it happens in both Cellwriter and Xournal.

I Googled around online for sensitivity settings and the such for both applications and could not find anything, any help/suggestions would be awesome.

Thanks,
~Jeff

Hello, fellow tablet pioneer! I'm running on a Thinkpad X61 tablet. While it might be a "sensitivity" problem, you might also have a workload issue. What else is going on with the box while you are doing this? For mouse purposes, does it move in real time with your motions?
Does the mouse cursor move without actually touching the screen? Some tablet stylus devices only need be near-enough. "Digital ink" only happens with an actual stylus touch. If you have a non-touch mouse that moves in real time, then your situation is likely a touch sensitivity issue. You will need to find your tablet hardware in the XORG postings.

I hope this shares some light. Tablets and XORG are very arcane and hardware specific. Not only that but XORG and hardware are evolving quite rapidly -- shifting from static configuration to dynamic configure when connected.

Good luck,
~~~ 0;-Dan
The pointer only moves when the stylus is touching the screen. While it moves in real time there is often a delay before it actually starts making ink.
Unfortunately my tablet is slightly old (got it from a friend recently) and is currently having hardware issues so I am unable to play with settings on it at the moment
