Hi there!
I have recently stumbled across this post about Frame Interpolation:
http://www.reddit.com/r/linux/commen...60fps/t5_2qh1a
Which basically contains a guide to watch lower fps video files at the monitor's native refresh rate.
I have a 60hz 42" TV and use Lubuntu 14.04 with nvidia-352 drivers from xorg and compiz, while constantly failing to set this up.
MPV has been installed (ffmpeg version) from the ppa suggested in the post, followed by ffmpeg itself and x264.
Additionally, I have tried every single code variation mentioned in the post by various members.
Such as:
vo=opengl:smoothmotion:smoothmotion-threshold=0.0
With and without additions of this kind:
--hwdec=no
--display-fps=60
Also both with Composite disabled and the default window manager openbox enabled and vice versa.
I should also note that I was unable to add the code to mpv.conf, since it was not stated where to specifically do so in the conf file, which is why I exclusively tried this with terminal commands.
Whenever I would use them, MPV output the following: "smoothmotion has now been replaced with interpolation, this might not change in the future"
Support would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
