Xorg crashes!!

Alright, so after installing the latest i915 dri snapshot from http://dri.freedesktop.org (with no problems,) I can no longer startx!!

It returns:
Quote:
(EE) module ABI minor version (8) is newer than the server's version (7).

What the heck does this mean? I'm totally lost ops: I'm using xorg 6.8.2 on gentoo. Rebooting doesn't help.

-Thanks in Advance,
flamesrock

It seems that the latest i915 dri snapshot package that you installed decided to make changes to your linux system that are incompatible with other critical parts of your linux system, namely the X windows system. The easiest solution might be to reinstall your linux system.
