After installing the latest drivers I rebooted my computer, only to ser that it is stuck on the splash screen with no movement. After restarting again, and force bootong to Grub, I went in recovery mode to see what was wrong. I dropped to root and entered 'X -configure' only for it to give me an error stating the following:
'Fatal server error:
Could not create lock file in /tmp/.tX0-lock
(EE)
Please consult the The X.Org Foundation support
at
http://wiki.x.org
for help.
(EE)'
Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.
-EDIT-
I used the command 'dpkg-reconfigure -a' and that made the lock file but now Xorg has some other error upon trying to start up and stll causes linux to not boot. I would gladly post the logs if I did not have to write all of this through a phone.
