xorg and Intellimouse Explorer
Hello all,
I have just installed a Slackware 10.1 and i am having a hard time configuring the mouse to work.
I have tried various combinations in xorg.conf for "Protocol" and "Device"
The best i could do was to get the pointer to move only in the Y axis regardless of how i moved the mouse. This was done using the device /dev/input/mice and protocol IMPS/2.
Since the mouse moved, then i guess that /dev/input/mice is the correct device but i have tried all protocols and nothing works.
Note that i have been using XFree86 up to now, and the exact same mouse was /dev/mouse->/dev/psaux and IMPS/2 protocol.
I have also tried to use my last XF86Config, since i read somwhere that xorg is able to work with that, but X crashed.
Any comments would be greatly appreciated since i dont know what else to try!!
Note: When the USB is plugged, /var/log/messages shows:
input0: Microsoft IntelliMouse Explorer USB1:0
