xorg 6.8 problem

I've posted this on several boards and so far nobody has had a clue but I thought I'd give it another try.

I'm running gentoo, x86, and xorg 6.7. When I upgrade to 6.8 I get transparent fonts on the menus, my terminals are transparent except the outline, my browsers are transparent also, the only thing I know I can use is xchat and that's cause I have a shortcut icon. But other than that my system is unusable because everything is transparent. Any ideas anyone?

Thanks
