Xmule simply closes
Hi!!!
I'm having somes really, really annoying problem with Xmule which just started, once again, for no aparent reason... I start Xmule and after a while, it simply closes itself. It was working cool for weeks ago, but now it just like that... Running from the console, I get: Code:
Initialising xMule Since I've moved to Linux I'm getting really hard times to make things work and I think I'm doing just fine, thanks for you guys in this forum :). But sometimes, with those annoyances, I don't think I will stand for long.... It's taking too much time to fix things better then use them :S... Sorry, I'm just a little upset... Well, any help with one more of my problems would be great. Thanks in advance guys |
I don't use xmule but maybe there is an option to increase the debug level. Take a look at the man page and help page to see.

Thanks david_ross for the quick reply. It seems that Xmule page is down for maintenance. Though, seems like a new version of Xmule is out (Maybe released today or yesterday, I guess). Perhaps that's what is causing the sudden crash(I doubt it). I've just upgraded with Synaptic and let's see if it hangs in there :)
Thanks again |
Nope, still crashes... I will see how to get some debug messages and see what is happenning :S

try using the icon (create one if you don't have one) and use it as user, it works perfectly for me.
|
Odd I tell you bub
Thanks yowwww for your reply :)
Yes, I had a icon at my desktop to run as user under gnome. I've just run from the console to identify any error, which did not :S... However I've moved to blackbox so :) It was also working perfectly for me :(... Anyway, it worked all day today... I really don't know what may be causing those randoms sudden crashes... Sounds more like a program for windows then Linux.... let's hope it hangs in there though ;) If don't I will move back to eDonkey 2000 classic Thanks for the help everybody. |
well, it is fairly new for linux, like I said, I haven't really had any problems, but I really haven't run it all that much either.
