xmms very wierd

ok sometimes when i run xmms it start playin thing slow its like avril lavigne sound like my grandfather close and run xmms isnt working so i have to rebook the whole system anyone having the same problem?

I suggest installing a second player like Real Player. That way if they both do it you know it's not xmms' fault.

yeah your distro probably came with at least one other such player. Just give it a try and post back

Is this on a laptop that changes CPU speeds depending if it's plugged in or on battery? If it is, xmms does not adjust to this. You will need to keep it plugged in the whole time

it is lap top but it is always plug in and other player dont do this
