xmms sound problems in mdk10


Hey all..
Hope someone can help me with this.. I get realy poor sound in my Xmms.. I run with the Alsa driver becurse my cup dosn't take the OSS driver.. When I use other Alsa apps it sounds great
It's only in Xmms and I realy wont it work..
Plz help

I have an ac97 soundcard.. dont complain about it.. it works great, if ypu don't run Xmms..)

xmms has a variety of output pluggins, have you tried any of them other than the default?

yep. I'v tried some others than default.. but it's just whit alsa I get sound that realy "sounds" but it sparking..
Is there another Mp3 player that is simmular to Xmms and WinAMP?
I realy don't want to play music in Totem (even if it sounds realt good there)..

i'd reccomend fixing the problem though. which version of alsa and xmms do you have, and what type of sound files are you having problems w/?

I have Xmms 1.2.9 and alsa 1.0.2.2
All files i try to play in Xmms sounds bad file type dosent make any difrence..
Xmms looks like a good player but I never had it work properly..
