Yea i kinda had a similar problem.... never really happened in 9.2, but now in 10.0 for some reason. Anyhow are you running it from the command line?

I found that this alleviated the problem of freezing for some reason

i dont have 3rd Party Drivers. All the devices are working perfectly after installing Mandrake 10.And all the drivers are originally from the cd,i dint install any 3rd Party drivers. And the XMMS is the one found on the Mandrake 10cd,i've never touch it at all.I just run it from the menu, dint use command line.

- i'm such a newbie -
