xmms open location
 

I tried to open an http://address:8000/listen.pls and nothing happened, it didn't even get queued. How can I get xmms to play locations?

slackware 9
xmms 1.2.7

usually a small window comes up where you can tell it what app to use to play it, just type in /usr/bin/xmms
if not, then check your helper apps
and otherwise, maybe something is wrong with the site
it wouldn't even open for me
