xmms oddities

When I run XMMS from KDE's menu, it crashes when I press play. When I run it from console, it works fine. Everything works perfectly. As part of my troubleshooting, I changed the "target" in the menu properties from 'soundwrapper xmms" to plain old xmms to see if that made a difference. It didn't.

Any ideas?

I had a similar problem and the soundwrapper thing fixed it. Are you sure what mandrake is saving the new value on the menu properly. Mandrake seems to frequently put things back the way they were without asking you. Let us know how it goes.
