xmms internet
 

I have xmms from source i don't recall this problem last time I installed from source but though worth mentioning. Everytime I play a filen in it internet basically halt downloads go to 0.00kbs and everything. When i pause it starts to download again i checked preferences but didn't see anything about it using any internet or ports.

That's bizarre. Does it generate a whole lot of traffic when it is playing, or does the internet just slow down for no apparent reason?

First question: Is the file that you are playing in xmms on the net or stored locally?

connected locally; it doesn't show activity I think it just blockes the port or something. I know winamp accesses a port. I know xmms only bases on winamps X though
