xmms-infopipe on SuSE 9.0 personal

Hi...Hair pulling problem. I wanna install an irssi script so that I can spam my MP3's to channels I'm on when I'm djing online but when I try to ./configure xmms-infopipe I get the same error about the glib-config file.

I redownloaded the devel and got the file, and then:

./configure GLIB_CONFIG=/opt/gnome/bin/glib-config

...but it still returned this error (last few lines):

checking for glib-config... no
checking for GLIB - version >= 1.2.0... no
*** The glib-config script installed by GLIB could not be found
*** If GLIB was installed in PREFIX, make sure PREFIX/bin is in
*** your path, or set the GLIB_CONFIG environment variable to the
*** full path to glib-config.
configure: error: You need glib 1.2 or later to build this plug-in.
linux:/home/YewnEEk/Desktop/xmms-infopipe-1.3 #

Any ideas?
