xmms freezing in KDE but not Gnome
 

i cant get xmms to play any songs while in KDE, it plays perfectly fine in Gnome though, and when i push play while in KDE it just sits there, so ill push play again and it freezes completely, can someone help me...

huh.. that is odd. did you try it from a console? Maybe switch to gnome. I switched over to gnome after several wacky happenings like yours and gnome is much faster, at least on my machine.
