XMMS doesn't play MP3's...anymore
I know that RH9 doesn't ship with mp3 support, so i downloaded what i needed to, it worked for a week, but now it won't work at all. Very strange. Can i remove XMMS and start over from the RH9 .rpm's?

if you have installed xmms rpm just try rpm -fi xmms.., this worked for me

um, yeah that still doesn't work
I get the same error, about my sound card. Kudzu did find it, but yet from the control center, that can't find my sound card... what is going on?? I can hear .wav files, just not mp3's

Can also install MPlayer
Seems to play a very wide range of audio/video stuff....windows media stuff, quicktime video, mp3's, avi's, wav's, bunch of others...
