Xmms & Ogg vorbis

I have problems with xmms and ogg-files. I know Xmms should support them and I already have ogg vorbis codecs installed. When I open ogg file in xmms it won't play it and ogg vorbis doesn't seem to be in the list where other codecs are listed in xmms. Anyway when I click ogg-file another player opens and starts playing it but when I'm trying to open file with xmms It doesn't work.

What might be wrong? It doesn't seem to find codec somehow...

right click on the ogg file and select open with.........
and type xmms in the drop down window........and put a check in the box that says remember this application when opening this type........

I have tried that already, like I said: ogg vorbis codec doesn't seem to be listed in xmms codecs list. There's only listed:
libcdaudio.so
libmpg123.so
libwav.so
libtonegen.so
but NOT libvorbis.so like in this list: http://support.bbc.co.uk/ogg/ogg-xmms.shtml

I have installed that library but I don't understand how can I get it into that list.

that's strange. the xmms package of mandrake includes the libvorbis. This is brute force but maybe it helps if you uninstall xmms and install it again.
