OK - I'm really confused here...
If I use XMing to just start an x server - it's fine.
If I use putty I can get a shell on the linux server - fine.
I can use plink to launch processes on the linux server - fine.
But if I tell xming to run a process (using plink) the x root window appears for a fraction of a second - then xming dies. What am I missing here?
I've included an xming log trace below - although I can't see anything helpful...
