Exclamation XM-630B2 safe from being destroyed?

I noticed on the list of affected/not affeced CD-ROM drives at the Mandrake-Linux site that there was nothing about XM, only CRD, CRN, GCD, GCE and GCR CD-ROM models, so..does that mean that my XM-630B2 WILL be safe from being crashed by Mandrake Linux 9.2?

probably it means that it has not been tested, if its not in the "bad" section theres probably nothing wrong I do not know specifically what you are referring to, but I dont think mandrake will "crash" or destroy a cd drive at worst it wont recognize it and not do anything if there is a more specific question then please reply with a link to the page your referring to

Mandrake 10 will be available for download to the public by the end of the month if not sooner. It's already availabe to mandrake club members and I believe they have a policy of making it available to the public 15 days after they release to the club members. You might be better off waiting til then and get the most recent version with the 2.6 kernel and kde 3.2.
