first check the man page of xlogo. You will see:
Code:
FILES
       /etc/X11/app-defaults/XLogo
              specifies required resources
next check the content of /etc/X11/app-defaults/XLogo, which is a small text file:
Code:
XLogo*iconPixmap:    xlogo32
XLogo*iconMask:      xlogo32
XLogo*baseTranslations: #override \
<Key>q,<Key>Escape: quit()
next you can use (for example) locate to find xlogo32, which can be actually found in /usr/include/X11/bitmaps/ (at least for me).
Finally you create your own bitmap, put into this dir and tell xlogo to use that new image.

Thank you. I know xlogo like xteddy. But, as stated above, the thread is about an "alternative to xlogo".

I think I explained how can you replace the image displayed by xlogo. Also you may try to use ~/.Xresources to specify another image.
What else do you need?

XPENGUIN as a stand-alone package.... Why? - To promote Linux.

If I have time, I will make a DEBIAN/DEVUAN package with X11 image of a nice penguin, but first I got to finish 2 programming projects.
