xine-ui ugly menu fonts

i presently use ubuntu and arch preferred player is ubuntu when i right click to bring up the xine configuration menu, the fonts are small and elegant, but in arch its huge and ugly..does anyone know what configuration setting i have to change in arch to make the xine menu's mimic the one in ubuntu? i have tried copyion over ~/.xine from ubuntu, but it didnt help ..

(note: ./configure --enable-xft is enabled..)
