Xine-ui installation how to

xine-ui installing error
hello friends

im using RHEL 5

i have to installed xine player , first i have installed xine-lib-1.1.7.tar.gz

and then xine-ui-0.99.5.tar.gz

but when i configure the xine -ui i got the follwing error

checking for XINE... configure: error: Package requirements (libxine >= 1.1.0) were not met:

No package 'libxine' found

Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you
installed software in a non-standard prefix.

Alternatively, you may set the environment variables XINE_CFLAGS
and XINE_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config.
See the pkg-config man page for more details.

but i already installed xine-lib

can anyone help me

and when i going to install gxine-0.5.903

it shows error
configure: error: libjs not found

Welcome to LQ.

When "configure" asks for libxyz, it always means libxyz-devel.
So installing 'xine-lib-devel-1.1.16-1.el5.i386.rpm' or similar
should do.

'libjs' > js-1.60-1.0.el5.i386.rpm

> > http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3 > Search >> Advanced Search
to find the package names.
( And packages not found with # 'yum search <package>' )

( This line
RedHat EL 5 rpmfusion.org/free/el/updates/testing/5/i386/xine-0.99.5-6.el5.i386.rpm
shown when searching for 'xine' indicates, that xine also can
be installed with yum, when adding the rpmfusion repository to
/etc/yum.repos.d/...)
