xine problems :(


i set up xine and got it running. i tried playing back a dvd and got this message

It sounds like you need the libdvdcss2 file. I know that plf has Mandrake versions, but I don't think they do Slack versions. Try googling for it.

thanks. i am using redhat 9.0 i just havnt updated my user profile

im going to try ur sugestion. i had a play around with xine and i managed to get it to play the opening bit of a dvd, (the titles and copyrite information on the wrestlemania xv dvd) before crashing before it gets to the menu. would this file sort out that problem as well? or is that a seperate problem?

Yeah, possibly, you might find that the titles and copyright aren't encrypted.

tried again installing the packs. but this time using a terminal. worked fine. thanks for ur help

hi ... i am having sound trouble with xine ... i use the arts sound thing oss don't work on my pc ... i seem to be doing everything right ... but i don't get sound ???
