xine,mplayer ,videolan, screen problems
Hi .... this is my first post and i am a newbie to linux, (Redhat 8) I was a big Windoze fan, but I am running linux now and i am very pleased..the problem I am having is, everything that is by the xine and any other player screen get lost in behind it.No matter what i am doing the screen is always at the front off my monitor and if i move anything by the player screen or start a web brower ect it go behind the screen. i had mandrake and redhat 9 on the comp but did not have that problem.my system is 2.4 althon xp, k7s5a mb,1 gig of pc 2700.and a Ati Radeon 7000ve 32mb....I don,t think it is the players ,it must have something to do with the drivers on Redhat 8..........Thanks in advance Caper

i know a guy that has the exact same problem and it only happens in redhat 8...he had rh9 and three different versions of the mdk distro on his box and it never happened on any of them besides on the rh8 box...and you know what else is a coincidence, is that i just noticed you have the radeon 7000/VE card and so does he...if you do find a fix be sure to post it, cause i know he is annoyed by this also, as he stuck with rh8 cause he likes it best outta the distros he has tried.
