Xine keyboard shortcuts in config file?

Evenin!

I have an issue where the a/v sync on my DVD's is always off. I have to use the m key every time I play a new DVD, and although I can press the key every new video, it is quite annoying. I really can't find a whole lot of information on the web about this, so I'm wondering if anyone here has done something similar.

I am hoping to be able to place a command in the config file similar to:
av.sync=m
And have that read on each startup of xine, keeping me from having to do that myself from a keyboard (or a key mapped on my remote control) each time I play a new DVD.

The hardware for the machine in question:
Asus M2NPV-VM
AMD AM2 3200+
1GB RAM
Nvidia 6150 Northbridge, 430 South
Appropriate modules for sound:
snd-hda-intel
And OS info:
Gentoo, 2.6.17-gentoo-sources (32-bit mode)

Thanks!

Cool
