Xine gdk error *fixed*
UPDATE: I solved the problem by adding this line to the XFree86 config file under my NeoMagic Video Card:
Option "OverlayMem" "829440"
I dont know what it did but it worked!
OK, i have narrowed down my previous issue a bit. The "no MRL" has nothing to do with the problem. Ogle, Gxine, Xine, and Vlc all dont play the DVD. I opened them al with a terminal to see the debugging output and i got the same error on all of them:
Gdk-ERROR **: BadAlloc (insufficient resources for operation
I tried xine-check and it said everything was fine. I cant enable DMA mode on my DVD drive though.
sony:/home/mark# hdparm -d 1 /dev/hdc
/dev/hdc:
setting using_dma to 1 (on)
HDIO_SET_DMA failed: Operation not permitted
using_dma = 0 (off)
