xine codec selcection command/configuration

Ok guys this is probally really simple, i am not familiar with xine though, and i dont like it, but its the only solution for what i want to do with mythtv.

Anyway here it is i'm trying to get dolby 5.1 out of my spdif port working, now i have it workin perfectly with mplayer, but i cannot for the life of me figure out xine

here is the command i use for mplayer

mplayer dvd:// -cdrom-device /dev/sr0 -ao alsa:device=hw=0.0 -ac hwac3 -vo xv

PS: I have set the speaker arrangement in xine to "pass through", i get no sound with it set to passthrough, but i get stereo when its not set in the config file, commented out

So what do i configure in .xine/config to make it work and what commands do i issue when launching xine? thanks
