You should look into using something called apt at www.freshrpms.net It'll resolve the dependencies for you, a MUCH better way of handling problems like that

You should also look at using a better program:
www.mplayhq.hu

Cool

http://shrike.freshrpms.net/
well thats the best i can tell ya other than apt-get....
i know when i setup my xine i went to freshrpms and got xine, xine-lib and xine-skins...and when i was going through trying to install them, i would watch dependancies, and then go back to the page i got them rpms and find the dependancy file....
you will notice on that page i linked, that all the files you will need will be on that page...
for instance i know when i did it, i need packages like aalib, libfame, flac, etc,etc.....
which were all easily accessable on the same page that you get all the xine files...

Help me!
My linux experience is 3 weeks young and up until my recent attempts to get some kind of video player running in RH9.0 it was a happy one! Anyhow, I've tried the xine rpms but got dependency complaints which only confused me.I tried installing apt and it complained that it couldn't find xine-0.9.22-1.fr.i386.rpm! Can someone spoon-feed me with a step-by-step idiot-proof procedure for installing xine/mplayer?
