Anyone know how to launch xine and play an audio cd automatically? I have to launch xine and click on CD everytime to play an audio cd. DVD works fine with xine dvd://.

I've tried xine cdda:// but it complains about plugin. I downloaded all the rpms from freshrpms.net and it states clearly that cdda plugin is included in lib-xine.

Any ideas?

Hi.

You have to specify a track number, e.g.
xine cdda://1

I did that but it still does not work. I'll give it a go again tonight.

I have to manually click on CD using my mouse to start playing audio which is annoying mainly because I use remote to control all the XIne features.

I have to say - it is an awesome player - way better than mplayer.

I was adding two double slashes. Works fine now.

xine cdda:/1 - to play the first track

To load entire list, play and quit, the command is

xine -s CD -pq
