ximian evolution: how can I save my mails including all subfolders???

Hello

I''ve searched the whole internet, but I couldn't find any information about this in english and german either....

how can I save all my mails including all subfolders in my ximian evolution for restoring after a harddisk-crash...?
thanks for all advises, it also would be nice to tell that ximian doesn't provide this function
regards
pablo

honestly I have no idea where ximian stores the mails. can you find what this folder is? i do not think it is /var/spool/mail/x.
If you can, it will be quite easy to backup using tar.

I could just copy this folder back to another linux-installation with Ximian if my pc had a hd-crash I???
thanks&regards

p.s.: i forgot to say: it's a redhat linux 9 with ximian evolution

Yes. There is no reason it shouldn't work, at least I can't think of any. There *might* be problems only if:
- you use a different evolution version
- you use a completely different distro.

And after all, what other choice do you have? If I were you would tar the folder right now, and look more for a backup software (which would do a similar task anyway).
