Ximian Desktop

I'm interested in installing Ximian Desktop and giving it a try as I am very impressed with Novell's improvements to the SUSE distro (not that it wasn't good before ). But I use SUSE 9.1 Pro and it is currently not supported, which blows my mind considering this distro is owned by Novell. Is there anyway to install this desktop on SUSE 9.1 Pro???
