Xglobe for fligt tracking???

Does anyone know how the telemetry feeds used to track airline flights work?

I use xglobe as my desktop and I have a file where I put in the latitude and longitude of my house and it updates every 10 min. It just stays over my house and the location of the sun updates every ten min. (Kind of like a sun clock.) It seems like if I could get access to a real time feed I could update the location of a flight I want to track today. I want to do this on my desktop and with xglobe. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Rob
