XFree86 and ATI Rage 128 Pro TF

Hello everybody,

I've got a problem with my X Server. The answer of my XFree86 X-Server is an error:

(EE) Screen(s) found, but none have a usable configuration.

Fatal server error:
no screens found

I have Debian/GNU Linux 3.0 (woody) and "ATI Rage 128 Pro TF" is the graphical output device.

For more information (log, XFree86Config...): http://www.agner.ch/xproblem

Any Solution?
Thx

Falstaff

You run the ATI driver that doesn't work with your card. As far as I know the driver's not available now. You should use VGA or VESA driver.

strange was, that the vesa driver didn't worked too. Finally I used XFree86 4.3.0, and the included r128 (ATI Rage 128) driver worked with my graphic card.

so, the problem is solved now :-)

bye
