xfce4 terminal colors

I tried searching for something like this, but apparently this is the only question like this. For some reason terminal doesn't have a background, it just shows whatever is behind it, like it's transparent. Makes it really hard to read. I'm not sure what caused this? Xfce has been doing some weird things lately, but I know how to fix them, except this.

xfce4-terminal itself has no settings for transparency. You could try to set new background colors in it via the menu items {Edit} > {Preferences} | {Colors}

In case this transparency is in your theme settings try another theme to check wether the transparency disappears or not. The program to alter these settings is xfce4-appearance-settings.

An other thing (last remedy) is using an other Xterminal program like xterm, mlterm, gnome-terminal, konsole.

Good luck

This did not work. The background color is black, #000000. And the text color is white. I'm using the default theme that came in the installation. Do the other terminals you listed use the same commands as the built in terminal?

I found out the problem. I had an image set as a background, then deleted the image, and that made there be no background to terminal.
