Xfce/Thunar trash disappeared
I just opened thunar one day, deleted a file and it told me the file will be deleted permanently, and I noticed the trash is no longer in the side panel.
I'm pretty new to linux so I have no idea how to fix this. Please help, thanks!

something else must have happened between when you had a trash can and now.
update? upgrade?
btw, are you using slackware? as a self-confessed newbie?

@Keith: i tend to agree. it could also be permissions related (keyrings and such). but trying to guess op's problem this way before they even provide any useful info - well it's a game i'm not playing.
and, please correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't slackware the wrong distro for someone saying "I'm pretty new to linux so I have no idea how to fix this"?

Thank you Keith for the input. I did fix it before by removing gvfs and thunar and reinstalling them in that order, but the problem keeps happening. I think I'll mark it as solved anyway. I'm sure i'll figure it out eventually and it's not a huge problem.
I chose slackware because it was recommended to me. I wanted to get linux and not a Windows clone. Also i'm a newb not a n00b so give me a break.
