XFCE - Installed GUI App only works with a right click?

Hi everyone,

I have a rather unique situation that's not really a problem, but it would be nice to get the app to work properly. Due to issues with ksnip disabling other apps while ksnip is open on the desktop, I recently deleted that app, followed by installing Flameshot instead. I really like pretty much everything about Flameshot, except for the fact that it won't work by simply clicking on it like I do with other apps ... by using the left button on the mouse.

Flameshot has an option to have it sitting on the taskbar.
But when I use that option, the symbol just sits there and nothing happens when I click on it.
Using the right click function on the taskbar symbol just gets me the XFCE panel settings instead.

The only way that Flameshot works exactly as it's supposed to, is by going to the Main Menu, locating Flameshot, followed by Right-Clicking on the Flameshot Symbol ... which then permits me to select ... Take Screenshot. If I move the Flameshot Symbol to the favorites section of the XFCE menu, same thing. It still works, but from there too, the screenshot app only works by right clicking on it.

I've tried numerous different ways of changing the startup command to reflect the startup of other applications which work correctly by left clicking on them, but nothing has helped. Searched the web but found nothing pertaining to left clicks not working. It's not really a big deal, but it would be nice to get Flameshot working correctly. Some kind 'a weird glitch?

Have you looked at the documentation? It appears that keyboard shortcuts are the designed way to use it.

Oh wow, that information is way more detailed then the built-in info. that's available. I didn't think that there would be a difference. More then likely I'll be able to find what I need there. I'll be back to report in a couple of days. Thank you.

Geeez, that was just too stupidly easy.

Simply add a space and then gui after the initial command ...

Code:
flameshot gui
Works with the print key too, once it's configured in the settings. Now it's working everywhere just as I like it.
Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.

Perhaps. Firefox may be just using the cache. I'll clear it. Thanks for marking it.
