Angry XF86SEt for 815e video

I have a intel 815e video card. I also have XF86Setup and need the patch for that hardware. I have experimented with the newer version, but I have some success with the older method. To coax my system to work, I loaded slackware 9.0 on top of 7.1. It allows me to configure my other driver. The system is not sane between 7.1 and 9.0 I suspect there were system patches for 9.0 But I did not find any.

I have seen that XSET has an 815e patch. I need that source.

wow. your post is really hard to follow. i am trying to gather the info and chew it up right now. i am thinkign that what you are wanting is to have the i815e chipset support in the XF86Setup UI. Is that right? well y don tyou just upgrade to xorg. then it will be there. but you do know that all intel i8x antying uses the i810 video driver. mine is an i855ge and i use the i810 driver in the xorg.conf file. i have the direct rendering module from the kernel. you can also download the intel driver from intel, but they will suggest that you ahve a new X version and XFree is old. you should get xorg. also there is slack 10 and 10.1 now and they have xorg. for like 2 years now, so maybe you should just upgrade the entire system.
