xf4vnc authentication

I'm trying to setup xf4vnc ( to share my gnome desktop. Without a password everything works great however as soon as i enable authentication a connection with server is established but when password entered i am told "VNC Authentication failed" (using tightvnc viewer on windows box).

device section from /etc/x11/xorg.conf:
Section "Device"
    Identifier "NVIDIA"
    Driver "nvidia"
    VideoRam 65536
    # Insert Clocks lines here if appropriate

Option "usevnc" "on"
Option "alwaysshared"
Option "dontdisconnect"
Option "rfbauth" "/etc/X11/vncpasswd"
Option "httpdir" "/usr/share/vnc/classes"
Option "httpport" "5800"
#Option "loginauth"

any ideas what is up. If not could someone with working configuration post their xorg.conf or xf86config.

p.s is the password file expected to be plain text file with password
