Xen/NFS Share question->

Hey guys,

Right now trying to set up Fedora Core on a Xen virtual machine and doing the install through a NFS share I created.

I tested the NFS share which is on my virtual machine and mounted it on my machine that will run Xen and it mounted fine so I know it is working.

When doing the install process for xen it asks for the install media url. So I put in nfs:172.xx.x.xxx:/inst where /inst is the location of the FedoraCore6 DVD.

After the wizard ends it says invalid NFS location given.. What am I doing wrong since I tested it and I know it is a valid location.

Thanks.

Argg - looks like no one ever answered your question!!

Heres the answer because I was running into the same problem but was able to resolve it.

Did you configure exports for nfs?

Heres the steps I follow:
1) Download ISO and mount it to /mnt/tmp
2) # mkdir -p /mnt/tmp
3) # mount -o loop,ro /home/usename/CentOS5.iso /mnt/tmp (Fedora ISO in your case)
4) Add /mnt/tmp to /etc/export and restart nfs

Run Virt-Install and then when you get to install location in the wizard, enter:
nfs:<DOM0 IP>:/mnt/tmp

Works nicely. Before I got this sorted out, I was using the net option but it was very slow!
