xdmcp gdm vnc remote access on Fedora 9 login problem

I have it working, but the login screen isn't correct. The login screen just shows username and a basic white login screen. I believe this is coming from xdm. Once I login, gdm starts fine. I would like to have the same login screen as I have when I'm actually at the console. Is this possible?

If I could get VNC XDMCP connection running again I might be able to help you. I'd be grateful if you'd share your existing Fedora 9 configuration.

We recently upgraded from Fedora 8 to 9 and our remote VNC stopped working. I found that the /usr/libexec/gdmlogin file that presented the remote login greeter was missing after the upgrade. Apparently, gdm version 2.22 has changed most everything from the 2.20 version in Fedora 8.

This /etc/gdm/custom.conf entry was no longer valid:

[daemon]

RemoteGreeter=/usr/libexec/gdmlogin

I've been unable to find a corresponding greeter for gdm version 2.22.

Thanks!
