Red face xcdroast on mandy 8.2

installed mandrake 8.2 from iso downloaded from the net. . have configured email with evolution and am using the mozilla browser . I was looking around at the programs and came acoss xcd roast. I have a 24x burner on this athlon 800 system I am running ,but when I try to get the program up it tells me I must configure is as a super user and it has no config file in root? I am new to linux and really don't know what to do next. I have a book on linux but the only reference it gives on cdroast is that it is an application to burn or copy cds.
what must I do to get the program to work thanks for any and all help

Run it as root, create config file - click on setup button -> configure xcdroast - means fill in the blanks in every tab in the last tab there will be options to allow non-root users to run xcdroast just add usernames if you want to run xcdroast as non-root-> save the config -> enjoy burning CD's !!!

Also, download the XCDRoast Alpha-10 version. It fixed some bugs and added some functionality - including easier setup for non-root users.
