xcdroast audio and pad tracks
How does XCDRoast know if the .wav files were ripped using XCDRoast, which is the only way it seems to allow recording an audio CD without using the highly annoying pad tracks option.
So far, I understant that an audio CD track must be a whole number of frames in length, and that a frame is about 13.333ms, or three frames is exactly 40ms. 40ms goes into 1 whole second exactly 25 times, so if I'm splitting MP3s in whole seconds, there shouldn't be a problem right?
I've made many CDs and when I split DJ mixes I use mp3splt and split to whole seconds, but xcdroast hasn't allowed me to drop the padding, and I little gaps and hiccups on the cd between tracks, which should flow together perfectly. For someone who listens to a lot of DJ sets and is pretty particular about his music, this is quite highly annoying. How do I fix this?
