xcdroast


hello i install everything but i don't know how to start the program or how to look for it can anyone help me? thanx!!

Just type xcdroast in a terminal (or) in Run dialog box.
The above will work if you have installed it in its default directory [A dir defined in $PATH variable]

i did it but no luck
how do i know the default address?

Type
updatedb

Wait forawhile
Then type

locate xcdroast
[or]
locate roast

This will find the executable for u.

Also you can find where it installs by looking into the Readme file of install if its a tgz.
If its a rpm then type

rpm -qlp packagename

This will show u the list of files and where they get installed.


Note:
You can also try looking into /opt dir
