Xawtv wont start

When I try to run xawtv, this is what happens:

[root@localhost root]# xawtv
This is xawtv-3.88, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.3)
Warning: Cannot convert string "-*-ledfixed-medium-r-*--39-*-*-*-c-*-*-*" to type FontStruct
Segmentation fault
[root@localhost root]#
What does it mean when it says "Cannot convert string "-*-ledfixed-medium-r-*--39-*-*-*-c-*-*-*" to type FontStruct Segmentation fault" and how do I fix it?

The font error is because that font is not in your font path - edit your XF86Config file to include the path where the font is installed.

The Segmentation Fault is because xawtv have a problem with the device it's trying to use. Check the man page and specify the correct device. More info on this is here:
